Issues

I've always considered myself an independent thinker committed to being fiscally responsible and open-minded. Politics has become overly- partisan and I aim to change that when serving in the Legislature. I will always put my Constituents and my Conscience above party Caucus.

Agriculture

I believe in the value of strong family farms and ranches as essential to our Montana heritage, the life-blood of our rural towns and an important part of our economy. We must create incentives and inspiration for younger generations to return to the family ranch or farm, seize new opportunities in agriculture, or successfully hold the remote jobs in rural Montana made possible by reliable infrastructure.

Public Education

Public Schools are the heart of our Hi-Line communities and should be funded as such. As your representative I will support legislation that treats teachers as professionals and gives them the tools to give each of our students an excellent education. Public tax dollars should not be spent on private schools.

Outdoor Recreation

Montanans cherish our outdoor heritage and use of public lands, which should stay in public hands. Sustainable hunting and responsible firearm use is critical to ensuring Montana stays the Last Best Place for generations to come. Montanans' way of life is dependent upon their right to protect themselves and fill their freezers.

Individual Liberties

Montana is a "Live, and Let Live" type of place. Government should stay out of your bedroom, out of your medical decisions, and out of your personal data. The Montana Constitution grants us all the Right to Privacy and I intend to keep it that way.

Infrastructure

We all know the joys and struggles of living in small, remote communities. I will work to ensure the Hi-Line gets its fair share of funding to repair roads, aging infrastructure, and boosting our downtowns.
